The game invites players to spin the reels to see if they can awaken the titular Ox, who will appear throughout the game, decked in gold and serving up wins. Keep reading to learn about my experiences with the slot in this Fortune Ox review.

As I mentioned in the introduction to this Fortune Ox review, the game is set in Asia, with the titular Ox appearing as a character beneath the reels. There is nothing particularly traditional about this Ox, though, as he appears in various modern outfits throughout the game. 

These animations really do help bring the game to life, with a fun soundtrack playing while you spin the reels. When played on a desktop device, the backdrop is a temple gate with two Ox horns appearing from the side of it. 

Overall, I found the design to be really bright and colorful, keeping me engaged in the game’s action.

As PG Soft is a company focused on mobile casino slots, it should be no surprise that the base game of Fortune Ox is kept simple. The game has a unique grid, using three reels in a 3-4-3 formation. This allows for ten winning paylines on each spin, with wins formed when players land three or more matching symbols across a line. 

The game’s menus and information are located at the bottom of the screen, with the spinning green button used to get the action started once you have selected your stake.

There are just two bonus features in the Fortune Ox slot game. The first is a 10x Multiplier that becomes active whenever you fill all the reel positions with one symbol. This can lead to players landing the maximum win of 2,000x their stake if they fill the reels with Wild symbols. 

The other bonus is the Ox Respin round. This is triggered randomly when the Ox decides to spring into life and present the player with some good fortune. During this round, the first and third reels will display the same symbols, and the middle reel will continue to spin until a win is paid out.

Unfortunately, the game does not offer a Buy Bonus option. However, when I tested it, the Ox Respin feature was triggered semi-regularly.

One thing that became apparent during my review of this game is that it is definitely much better suited to mobile play. I tested the slot at mobile and desktop casinos online and found it to be a much more enjoyable experience at the former, which shouldn’t be a surprise given that PG Soft specializes in mobile games.

The version of the game I tested had a very generous betting range. The minimum bet was $0.30, and the maximum was $90. 

I found the game's wins to be a mixed bag. The Ox Respin bonus, which triggered multiple times, was the key to unlocking some of the game's better wins.

Fortune Ox serves up a modest maximum win of 2,000x your stake. This is triggered when you land an entire grid of Wild symbols with the 10x Multiplier feature activated.

The RTP comes in at a very impressive 96.75%, though versions with a smaller RTP are on the market, so check the paytable before you hit spin. The slot a medium volatility rating, which is a fair reflection of the game’s winning patterns.

Fortune Ox is another simple but fun mobile-focused offering from PG Soft. The game will not be for players looking for complex game mechanics and big wins, but if you are looking for some mobile-friendly action, this will have some appeal. The high RTP and fun design are big selling points, while the lack of a free spin round and a modest 2,000x maximum win may turn some people away. 

Overall, I think Fortune Ox could be fun if you like mobile-focused gaming. However, if you want more complex gameplay with big wins that play well on desktop devices, you may want to search elsewhere.
