Gold of Fortune God is an Asian-themed slot – you can tell that with your eyes closed. The slot’s soundtrack matches the visuals perfectly, and so do the sound effects. The reels are set against a temple high in the sky, obscuring a perfect view of the excellent architecture. Reaching the controls is easy on any device as they sit beneath the reels.

In visual terms, Play’n GO did a great job. The golden animated dragon wild looks as real as it gets. The coin-clanking effects when you hit a win are a nice touch, and all the symbols have been meticulously created to match the theme and the studio’s vision.

Playing Gold of Fortune God is easy. Like in most Play’n GO titles, the bet selector is laid out beneath the reels, so you can easily choose a bet or change it. Choose from 10c to $100 per spin and hit the spin button to start playing. The reels will turn with a pretty nice animation, possibly highlighting a silver ring around one of the symbols.

That’s one of the slot’s numerous features. You need to land a dragon within the silver ring to trigger the Dragon’s Fortune feature. It awards three responses and works similarly to a Hold & Spin bonus. A golden ring will appear on the reels when the feature starts, and it’s active throughout. All cash spins with a prize that lands on the reels will reset the responses to 3. If you land a cash prize in the golden ring, the reward is the mini, minor, or major jackpot. If you fill the screen with cash prizes, the reward is the Grand jackpot worth 5,000x the bet.

That’s the only special feature in the base game. However, it can also be triggered in the bonus round, where you get a spin on the Dragon’s Wheel.

Three or more scatters will trigger the Kingdom’s Treasure bonus round. There are two features in this bonus – the already mentioned Dragon’s Fortune and Dragon’s Wheel. The latter determines the number of free spins you receive and the global win multiplier, which can go as high as x30.

The number of spins you receive on the wheel is determined by the scatters. Three, four, or five grant 1, 2, or 3 spins. The selected multiplier is also carried over to the Dragon’s Fortune feature, which works like in the base game but with a multiplier boost.

It’s triggered by a dragon in the silver ring, which is followed by three respins. The only difference is that you now get two golden rings on the reels instead of a single one.

You’ll have to trigger each bonus in the traditional way since there’s no slots bonus buy feature.

I had fun with the Gold of Fortune God, more specifically, the Dragon’s Fortune feature. During my review, I managed to trigger it several times over, say, 50 spins, which was more than enough to generate some solid wins.

The bonus round didn’t impress me that much; it mostly relied on the respins if you managed to trigger them and the multiplier you received on the wheel spin. Not that it’s not great, but I only reached x2 – if it was x30, things might have been better.

For a medium variance slot, the RTP of 96.18% is pretty decent. The maximum win you can hit in Gold of Fortune God is 6,000x the bet.

Gold of Fortune God is a great slot for fans of the Asian niche. It has a bonus round in addition to a Hold & Spin feature, which triggers more often than you think.
