When Play’n GO launched the original Honey Rush in 2019, it made a real boom across online casinos with its unusual grid format. We expect the same for the sequel, Honey Rush 100. Part of the “100 series”, Honey Rush 100 takes elements from its predecessor and adds new twists to boost the payout potential.
With the already-familiar hexagonally formatted grid, the slot comes with Cluster Pays mechanics and cascades. So, Cluster Wins are included, as are the three-level Rush Meter, the Colony, and Sticky Wild features, and the Overcharge bonus round. If you’re ready for a trip in the woods where the friendly bees take on the scene, explore the slot together before putting your hand in the beehive.
The hexagonal grid, in a 4-5-6-7-6-5-4 format, is at the center of the screen, the beehive on the left presenting a multiplier value, and the Meter on the right, showing you the number of charges, all to be elaborated on in detail soon.
Below the grid, you have the “i" button first, which takes you to the paytable. Inside, you see the four low-paying flower types and the high-paying gold, bronze, silver coin, and diamond, giving you 0.1x to 0.5x the stake for a five-of-a-kind Cluster and 10x to 50x for a Cluster with 37 matching symbols.
Moving to the right, you see the Balance display, and right next to it, the Bet Configuration field, where bets from $0.10 to $50 can be placed. The Bet display is next, followed by the Spin and Autospin buttons.
Honey Rush 100, just like its predecessor and any other game by Play’n GO, can be played on any device you own. The game will play seamlessly on any platform, whether a desktop device, a smartphone, or a tablet. As its name implies, Play’n GO is a developer that particularly focuses on mobile gaming, and that’s why all of its games are mobile slots, Honey Rush 100 included.
Before engaging in your Honey Rush 100 play, you should understand how the slot pays out. When you land at least five matching symbols connected to each other in one way or another, you've formed a Cluster Win. The winning symbols are removed, and a new drop down from above thanks to a cascade; the cascades continue until no new winning clusters appear.
Now, we mentioned the Rush Meter on the right of the grid. When a winning cluster is removed, the meter is charged. Colony features are triggered once you reach a certain level. These are on stand-by until no more cascades occur and then put in play. So, when you collect 30 symbols in the meter, the Drone Colony is on standby, with 60, the Worker, and with 90, the Queen Colony feature gets in the queue.
The first one clones the symbol in the center of the grid and creates a cluster of at least seven matching symbols with that symbol; the second one does the same but forms a 10 to 15 matching symbols cluster, while the third creates a cluster with at least 20 to 37 symbols.
The wild symbols in the slot are the W letters, which not only substitute for all symbols but can appear sticky. When a Sticky Wild helps form a winning cluster, it moves down to a freed spot on the grid, and if it touches the bottom spot of the grid, it drops into the honey pot whilst increasing the Win Multiplier value by 1+. Should you somehow fill the grid with wilds, you get a cool prize of 500x the stake!
When the meter is filled with 90 symbols, the Queen Colony is queued, and the meter goes into Overcharge mode. From then on, the middle symbol upgrades for every 15 symbols you collect until no longer possible, and then the Win Multiplier increases by 3+.
Plus, after the Drone Colony ends, wilds that reach the edge of the grid add 2+ to the multiplier value, and after the two other Colonies, 3+ is added to the multiplier. The maximum value the multiplier can reach overall is 100x.
Honey Rush 100 offers an average RTP of 96.2%, which is highly volatile. The maximum win potential is 50,000x the stake, which was expected, really, considering all the multipliers involved.
Now, playing it for the max bet of $50 means that the slot can deliver a total of $2.5 million! Even if you play it with the minimum bet of $0.10 on each spin, you still get a shot at winning an excellent prize of $5,000.
The payout potential, as promised, is significantly boosted in Honey Rush 100 compared to the original. The developer delivered in that aspect, as expected since the slot is in the "100 series," which is a series of slots that offer higher payout potential than the originals. Therefore, if you liked the original with its hexagonal grid and you enjoyed the enhancements in the sequel, make sure you find yourself a legit online casino, locate Honey Rush 100, get a bonus, and load the slot right away, as you're missing out on a lot!
