January 2024 saw Ohio’s worst revenues across 2024 by some margin, with only $75.2 million generated. Ohio casinos hope the same pattern will unfold in 2025 after casino revenues in January 2025 slump below $80 million for the first time since January 2024.
Ohio has also cracked down on illegal gambling at the start of 2025, seizing more than 180 illegal slot machines in Columbus. While this won’t impact January or February revenues, shutting down illicit options may provide better revenues later in the year as gamblers are forced to choose legal operations.
