Variety recently released its 30 Most Powerful Women on Reality TV in 2024 list—and there were some interesting names included.
The publication picked out 30 of the "most influential women on reality TV in the last 12 months," including several stars of the various Real Housewives Of... iterations.
Variety's list also featured the likes of Love Island US host Ariana Madix, Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, and The Masked Singer US judge Rita Ora.
But one name certainly caught the eye of UK readers—Alison Hammond.
Alison's recognition in the US publication's list has sparked speculation that the former Big Brother star could take America by storm in 2025.
Alison has impressed across the pond thanks to her co-hosting duties on The Great British Bake Off, which goes by the name The Great British Baking Show in the US and Canada.
Kylie Jenner is a huge fan of the programme, recently saying on TikTok: "Watching my favourite show, the Great British Baking Show, and it's Caramel Week. Fully crying."

Giving the reasons for why Alison made the top 30 female reality TV stars list, Variety wrote: "Since joining the show in 2023, Hammond has shone with the combination of her warm demeanour and authenticity.
"Connecting to both contestants and viewers, it’s no surprise she also became the presenter for For the Love of Dogs this year following Paul O’Grady’s death."
Alison has also shown off the same warm demeanour since she started reporting and presenting on ITV's This Morning.
She first landed a roving reporter role on the brunch-time programme in 2002, the same year she shot to fame on the reality TV show Big Brother.
Alison has since gone on to appear in several other reality TV shows, including Strictly Come Dancing, finishing 10th in 2014's 12th series, and thanks to her increased recent fame in the US, it wouldn't be a surprise if she landed a spot on Strictly's American equivalent, Dancing With The Stars.
She is 6/4 to waltz over to the US to compete in next year's season, and it's just 2/1 she participates in The Masked Singer US—either as a judge, like Rita, or even as a contestant.
In 2022, Alison performed as Witchetty Grub in The Masked Singer: I'm A Celebrity Special in the UK, so she has some experience of donning such elaborate costumes.
In the same year, the TV presenter appeared as a guest judge in series four of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, which could pave the way for a stint on the panel of the US version, RuPaul's Drag Race (5/2).
Alison has arguably already broken America once—well, her laugh has.
In 2022, a montage on late-night talk and satire show Last Week Tonight With John Oliver featured several examples of the star's comical cackle.
Alison shared the clip on her Instagram page and wrote, "I've broke America !! with …… wait for it …………….my Laugh (sic)"
Alison is just 5/1 to land her own US talk show, a la Gavin & Stacey actor James Corden, who previously presented The Late Late Show, or it's 3/1 Alison winds up in a US comedy show in 2025.
She has some acting experience, after appearing in BBC daytime soap Doctors in 2002 and 2003, following her big break on Big Brother, and Alison has lent her voice to the character of Frankenginger in the movie Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
If she returns to her soap roots, then a part in a US soap opera (6/1) could beckon.
But during the star's time on This Morning, she has become known for her comical interviews with huge A-list stars, including Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Tom Cruise, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, and Mariah Carey.
As Alison is no stranger to Hollywood stars, it wouldn't be a surprise to see her pop up as a reporter at the Emmy Awards (4/1) or Academy Awards (8/1) for a US-based show.
Alison has already filmed in the US recently, after she and her son Aidan shot the BBC travel show Alison Hammond’s Florida Unpacked earlier this year.
The programme will see former tour rep Alison and her lad embark on an adventure-packed exploration of Florida, unveiling the state's hidden gems and providing viewers with practical and budget-friendly travel advice, and it will air on January 27th.
As well as her love of exploring the US, Alison also has a penchant for a certain royal couple living in America.
In 2022, Alison told fans how she had tuned into all three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan—and she even featured in the show.
Speaking to This Morning viewers at the time, she said, "I’ve watched all three episodes, and I don’t know if you know, but in the third episode, you do actually hear my voice."
Alison is 12/1 to team up with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex again on a US-based show, and it's a 20/1 outsider she lands a presenting role on either Love Island USA or the spin-off show Love Island USA Aftersun.
While it would be a top job Stateside for Alison, it looks out of reach for now after bosses recently appointed former Love Island UK star Maura Higgins to Aftersun.
What's more, Alison's fellow Most Powerful Women on Reality TV in 2024 list star Ariana Madix is currently fronting the main show.
Whatever Alison ends up doing in 2025, an appearance on Variety's list will have done her career no harm.
