Odds On Which Major Sporting Events Donald Trump Will Attend In 2025

Donald Trump became the first sitting US President to ever attend a Super Bowl earlier this month, when he headed to New Orleans to watch the Philadelphia Eagles stun the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

The president had a mixed reaction from the crowd at the NFL title match (one of the most gambling on sporting events of the year at casinos), as he was booed by some at the Caesars Superdome, but cheered by others.

Pop megastar Taylor Swift was also in attendance - to cheer on her Chiefs star boyfriend Travis Kelce - but she was on the receiving end of some boos, too, which prompted her to ask her pal and rapper Ice Spice: "What is going on?"

Trump and Swift haven't seen eye to eye on social media for a while, and he couldn't resist poking fun at the Love Story singer.

In a post on his Truth Social account, he wrote: "The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving! (sic)"

Trump's history-making appearance at the Super Bowl has sparked speculation about other sporting events he might attend in 2025.

Trump To Watch Woods?

Trump is a huge golf fan, so it wouldn't be a big shock to see him pop up at the Masters later this year.

While he certainly won't take part in the spectacle, he has been swinging his clubs with the best recently after he and Tiger Woods were spotted playing together at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, just days ago.

Woods was due to return to PGA Tour action - for the first time since The Open last July - at the Genesis Invitational this week, but he has since withdrawn following the passing of his mother Kultida.

Trump paid tribute to Woods' mother on social media, describing her as an "amazing influence" on her boy. If Woods makes this year's Masters then it wouldn't be a surprise to see Trump there cheering him on.

What's more, the US President recently met with the PGA Tour to try to help them amid their talks with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), which funds rival tour LIV Golf. The PGA Tour said in a statement: "We asked the President to get involved for the good of the game, the good of the country, and for all the countries involved.

"We are grateful that his leadership has brought us closer to a final deal, paving the way for reunification of men’s professional golf."

If Trump does manage to play a part in securing the future of men's professional golf, then where better to see the action than this year's Masters?

He is 8/11 to attend Augusta National Golf Club later this year, and it's just Evens Trump heads to the 2025 NASCAR Daytona 500 race in Florida on Sunday, February 16th.

The Prince And The President

The US President is not known for his love of soccer, but that might not put him off attending this year's FA Cup final.

Prince William is the President of the FA and regularly attends English football's main cup competition - and Trump is a fan of the Prince of Wales.

He previously described William as a "good man", and he is said to have enjoyed "banter" with the Prince and is "very fond" of him.

A source told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "The President looks to the King, and now William, for things that are going on in the UK."

While William doesn't play golf like Trump, the president is yet to declare his support for Premier League giants Aston Villa, who William follows.  Despite this, the pair got on well when they met in December, but could they reunite at London's Wembley Stadium in May?

It's just 6/4 for Trump to attend the 2025 FA Cup Final, and he's 4/1 to be at this year's Champions League Final, which will take place in the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.  However, Trump has a bigger affinity to English football's secondary competition, the League Cup, than he does with the FA Cup.

In 1991, he partook in the fifth-round draw of the then-named Rumbelows Cup in his own Trump Tower building in Manhattan.  Yes, you read that correctly.

The opportunity came about when former footballers Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves were in New York to film the qualifying draw for the 1994 World Cup.

Trump's English secretary at the time got talking to St John and Greaves, and one thing led to another before Trump was suddenly on TV pulling out the away teams - including Norwich City and Middlesbrough - from a green velvet bag.  He also pulled out Manchester United away at Leeds United, the two teams who were battling for the title in that season.

Greaves said to him: "You don’t realise what you’ve done there," and Trump replied: "That’s a biggy, that sounds like the type of game I want to go to." Perhaps he might want to go this year's League Cup final, when Newcastle take on Liverpool, instead?

He's 6/1 to rock up at Wembley for the occasion, but is far more likely to attend baseball's World Series (2/1) or the Las Vegas Grand Prix (3/1) in November.  Trump has previous at the World Series after he was booed during Game 5 in 2019.

He was jeered at Nationals Park in Washington and some even chanted "lock him up" in his direction.  However, Trump didn't react to the booing.

He became the first sitting president to attend a World Series game since former Texas Rangers owner George W. Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Yankee Stadium in New York before 2001's Game 3.

But it may not just be sporting events that Trump is looking to attend this year, following his US presidency first at the Super Bowl.

Trump's Oscars Spotlight

This year's Academy Awards aren't far off, and we know Trump likes to be part of the Oscars spotlight after his previous criticism of the spectacle.

Last year, he blasted Jimmy Kimmel as the "worst" Oscars host ever - and the chat show king read Trump's Truth Social post out to the audience during the ceremony's telecast at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.

He told the audience: "I’m really proud of something and I was wondering if I could share it with you. I just got a review."

Kimmel then read Trump's social media post, which said: "Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC “talent,” George Slopanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous. Also a really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years - Disjointed, boring, and very unfair. Why don’t they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them. Maybe that way their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! (sic)"

Over the years, Trump has slammed the Academy Awards several other times.

He pointed towards the Oscars' declining viewership in 2021, and hit out at the ceremony's viewing figures in 2018, writing on social media: "Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!"

What's more, he blasted Parasite for winning Best Picture at the 2020 ceremony.  He said at the time: "And the winner is... a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about?

"We got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it they give them the best movie of the year." If Trump wants to throw himself fully into the Oscars spotlight once again this year, then why not attend?  He's 6/4 to do so, but just 4/6 to watch along and slam the ceremony from his White House sofa instead.
