Philippines President Hails Solaire Resort North Opening

The President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr, has announced he would like his country to become a global center of entertainment and tourism via the possible premiere of more high-end integrated casino resorts.

The 66-year-old leader made his comments during Saturday’s official opening of the Solaire Resort North development from local casino operator Bloomberry Resorts Corporation.

He asserted such gambling-friendly properties will help his nation promote its ‘unique brand of hospitality’ to the world and ‘further to improve its position in the global hospitality sector’.

Prominent Premiere

Debuted over the weekend following almost six years of work, the Solaire Resort North enterprise sits on a 3.7-acre plot of land adjacent to Quezon City’s Ayala Malls Vertis North retail complex and is to eventually host a selection of up to 3,000 slots as well as 200 gaming tables.

The 38-story facility moreover features a 526-room hotel alongside a state-of-the art gym and has been specifically designed to appeal to the Asian country’s growing mass-market casino scene.

Bloomberry Resorts Corporation has been responsible for the 800-room Solaire Resort and Casino enterprise in the nearby Entertainment City district of metropolitan Manila for over ten years and earlier asserted the opening of the Solaire Resort North property would solidify its own position ‘as a leader in luxury entertainment’.

The operator declared its latest venture also has saunas, a spa and plunge pools in addition to ‘a world of culinary experiences through its signature restaurants’ and ‘event venues with international standards for size and capacity’.

Eminent Acclaim

Elected to the post once held by his father in June of last year, Marcos stated the Solaire Resort and Casino had set high standards in service and the promotion of tourism that are to be followed by its Solaire Resort North counterpart.

The President furthermore declared the opening of the new facility is destined to improve his nation’s reputation in the worldwide hospitality sector and make a significant contribution to the local economy.

“I am certain Solaire Resort North is with us in our desire to capitalize on this strength to further improve our position in the global hospitality sector,” Marcos said.

Confident Commendation

In his speech at the Solaire Resort North opening ceremony, Marcos thanked those who had made the development a reality and believed in his country’s potential.

The leader affectionately known as ‘Bongbong’ went on to heap praise on the facility’s workers ‘for continuously helping in nurturing the Filipino identity’.

“You are a living proof we have what it takes to succeed and your work shows us what it truly means to love the Philippines,” Marcos said.

“More than the best tourist destinations here in the Philippines, it is our people that keep bringing tourists back; our smiles, our generosity and our excellent hospitality.”

Optimistic Opportunities

Marcos pronounced his administration would like to continue working with Bloomberry Resorts Corporation in looking for ways to attract even more foreign tourists to the Philippines, which could include the opening of further luxury integrated casino resorts.

He also affirmed the operator is to ‘play a very big part’ in his campaign to make visitors ‘see the country’s worth and competency’ by ensuring each visit is ‘safe, rewarding and memorable for all’.

“We want them here, visiting our islands, investing in our businesses, spending their hard-earned money by having fun and having the best time of their lives here in our country,” Marcos said.

“It is our mission to let the entire world know that the Philippines is open for tourism and for business. So, let us show them that we are ready to embrace the opportunities that they offer us and I am confident the world is also ready to embrace us back.”
