RG24seven is a provider of compliance-grade virtual training services for employees of land-based and online casino and gaming companies.
A BMM Innovation Group enterprise, the firm headquartered in Las Vegas supplies clients with a customizable range of responsible gaming, anti-money laundering, and corporate social responsibility solutions designed to avert potential fines and violations while improving staff performance, morale, and satisfaction.
Casinos.com spoke with the Chief Executive Officer of RG24seven, Wendy Anderson, about her company’s commitment to responsible gaming, the benefits of its video-based training, and its plans for the future.
Can you tell us why BMM Innovation Group, which is a leader in regulatory compliance services, decided to establish RG24seven?
"RG24seven was created as a way to protect and give back to the gaming industry through world-class virtual gaming training that is easily accessible around the clock. It all began during my time as Chief of Staff for BMM Testlabs.
"By talking with peers and industry associates, the Chief Executive Officer for BMM Innovation Group, Martin Storm, and I started to realize the critical need for gaming employees around the world to understand the concepts of responsible gaming.
"Not just a means to fulfil a regulatory requirement but a real genuine desire to protect our industry through education, and that was the genesis of RG24seven."
RG24seven is known to offer responsible gaming courses. Is that the only subject covered in your training?
"RG24seven initially started offering just responsible gaming courses, but in early 2023 the company began offering free virtual training on an assortment of topics covering anti-money laundering, human trafficking awareness, corporate social responsibility, gaming technology, and a host of other gaming industry training content presented by key industry experts and partners.
"We are constantly updating our course catalog, and, as a matter of fact, we have just finished recording two additional categories: sports betting and cybersecurity. Some of this was created in partnership with BMM Innovation Group. We are very proud of this content and are looking forward to releasing it."
RG24seven partnered with Better Change in the United Kingdom at the beginning of the year. How did this association come about?
"We met with Vicki Reed and the Better Change team early in 2023 and realized that we have a similar ethos about training and offering it in an engaging and effective way for gambling operators.
"We chose Better Change as our UK Safer Gambling partner because of our like-minded goals towards the protection of the gambling industry and its consumers in the United Kingdom and worldwide.
"Our aim is to empower those working in the United Kingdom to be advocates for consumers of gambling, the companies they work for, and the wider gambling industry."
RG24seven has formed strong partnerships and collaborations with key industry leaders in the United States and United Kingdom. Besides these associations, what would you say sets RG24seven apart from other industry training platforms?
"We commit to providing effective and accessible training for every gaming employee across the globe, which has been a driving force behind our success. RG24seven is dedicated to delivering world-class training and leveraging cutting-edge technology, all while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements."
September was Responsible Gaming Education Month, and RG24seven marked this designation by hosting a pair of free webinars to showcase the training it can provide. Were these sessions successfully received?
"September was actually our first time hosting webinars for Responsible Gaming Education Month, and it was a resounding success. We collaborated with the American Gaming Association, which promoted the webinars, and the turnout as well as the feedback and support we received was overwhelmingly positive.
"It was a great opportunity to inform everyone in the industry, from tribal to commercial gaming, how they can use RG24seven as an additional tool to further support their responsible gaming efforts. The positive response to our webinars has definitely encouraged us to integrate it as something that we will do more regularly."
Earlier this year, you conducted an independent research study on the effectiveness of RG24seven as a training tool for gaming companies, especially in terms of retention and user satisfaction. Can you share some of the key findings from this examination and how these reflect on the success of the platform?
"We worked with an independent PhD researcher to evaluate how RG24seven meets company training requirements as well as overall usability and its impact on the virtual learning experience for both learners and managers.
"We found that RG24seven's retention rates were significantly higher compared to industry benchmarks and received positive feedback from learners and managers about the quality of the content as well as interface design.
"We’re very proud of these results, as they reaffirm that our approach is not only effective but well received by industry peers. For anyone interested in learning more about the research, we’ve made the full findings available on our website. It’s a great resource for anyone looking to understand the specific metrics and how we plan to continue enhancing the platform."
The previous year has been very busy for RG24seven. What are the company’s plans moving forward?
"To kick off the year, we will be attending ICE in Barcelona, and we are also working on expanding our training catalogue for the United Kingdom by collaborating with industry experts to create more content. There are more markets opening in the gaming landscape, and we are seeking to make the training accessible to new and existing markets by providing our training subtitled in different languages.
"RG24seven’s commitment to provide top-quality content is at its core, so we are focused on increasing collaborations with other industry experts. We understand that many of our users are looking to have more personalized access to the system, so we will be introducing more ways to access our content to cater specifically to the needs of our audience.
"We look forward to continuing to add more training content and serving the global gaming industry."
