A man who won one million AED in the United Arab Emirates lottery has said he was completely surprised and overjoyed when he found out he had won.

The UAE Lottery announced its latest millionaire, Beauregard Lim, a long-time UAE resident from Manila, Philippines. Speaking exclusively to Casinos.com, Beauregard said: “The first person I told was my wife. That day, I checked my phone before I went to bed, and I saw a notification that read: ‘CONGRATULATIONS.’ I couldn’t believe it. 

"My wife and I double-checked, and the numbers were all there. It was real!”

We asked Beauregard how he planned to use the prize money—spend, save, or invest. He said: “The first thing that came to my mind was to invest in a business that provides a stable source of income. I want to make sure that my children have opportunities within the Philippines and don’t have to leave home to find a job.”

Winning that amount of money is a life changer, so we were curious as to how Beauregard’s life would change. He responded, “Winning AED 1 million means more than just a financial boost — it gives me peace of mind and lasting security for me and my family. 

"The first thing that came to my mind was to invest in a business so I can guarantee a stable monthly income, something that could support us consistently over time.”
