The aesthetics of the Coins & Diamonds: Hold & Win slot draws inspiration from classic Vegas slots. The layout resembles a 3D slot machine, with the bottom screen displaying a 5x3 grid and the top showing jackpot values.

There are eight base game symbols, including low-paying card royals and high-paying BAR, horseshoe, money, and triple-seven symbols. All symbols pay left to right on the five paylines. The wild can appear on reels 2–5, replacing all symbols except cash, diamonds, jackpots, and stars.

The game has a simplified control panel with almost all buttons in the bottom right corner. Clicking the Stake button will open the menu with all the bet levels going from $0.10 to $150, a nice range that caters to players of all budgets.

The autoplay menu features options for 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 automatic spins, along with advanced settings. You can choose for the autoplay to stop on a feature or once a certain multiplier threshold has been achieved.

The hamburger button opens the game’s menu and settings. The golden Buy Feature button lets you skip the grind and purchase the Hold & Win bonus round for 60x your current stake. Meanwhile, turning on the button in the top left doubles the chance for a feature but costs 60% of your wager.

The Hold & Win bonus can trigger whenever a special symbol (golden coin, diamond, and jackpot) lands on the reels. The said feature will automatically kick in if you get five of these symbols in a single spin.

You will initially receive three free bonus spins, with the special symbols locked in place. Every time a new special symbol lands, it will reset the free spin counter to three. The golden coin awards a cash prize up to 7x, the diamond collects all golden coin prizes in play, and the jackpot symbol awards the corresponding Mini, Minor, or Major jackpot prize.

The game ends once three consecutive spins are completed with no new special symbols appearing or when you fill the entire grid, in which case the Grand jackpot (5,000x) will be awarded.

The Coins & Diamonds: Hold & Win slot seemed fun from the moment I loaded the game. I gave it a few spins to test the gameplay and see whether I would like all the features and mechanics I'd only read about.

I started my real-money play with a $2 bet and enabled the Double Chance for Feature, which brought my total stake to $3.20 for this round. I had just over $300 in my bankroll, so I set up 100 autoplays, kicked back, and waited to see what would happen.

It wasn’t long before I got to the bonus round, where I won $48 and was already in the plus column. I had no luck triggering one of the jackpots, but I did get a few substantial base game wins ranging between $20 and $30. 

Unfortunately, the subsequent several dozen autoplays were pretty uneventful and slowly started draining my balance. A single $50 win helped me bounce back a bit, but that, too, was negated by a dry spell that hit in the backend of my autoplay session. Once I played through all 100 spins, I had lost exactly $100.

My patience was wearing off, so I decided to purchase the slot bonus round for $120. This didn’t end well either, as I only won $58 with no jackpots to speak of. This was when I decided to end my session because I had already lost a significant amount of money.

Based on a test of 100 million spins, the game's RTP was calculated at 95.72 percent, which is under the industry average. The RTP goes up to 95.82% when you turn on the Double Chance button and peaks at 95.85% when you buy the feature. 

Coins & Diamonds: Hold & Win has a relatively low volatility and hit rate. The slot’s Grand jackpot is 5,000x, but the biggest payout goes beyond that, capping at 5,585x.

Even though my time with the Coins & Diamonds: Hold & Win slot wasn’t very successful, I still consider it a decent game. I would recommend this title to players who enjoy straightforward slots with minimal bonus features and simple mechanics.
