We’ve all heard of the Elixir of Life, the mythical potion that will grant its drinker eternal life and/or youth. Well, Yggdrasil partner studio Jelly has now created the Exilir of Wealth, a potion that will, presumably, make its drinker extremely rich. Chasing this rather delicious-sounding potion is a Lara-Croft-style adventurer who finds herself in the midst of some sort of South American-style jungle. Join me as I head out on this adventure and find out if it is worth a spin in this Elixir of Wealth slot review. 

Elixir of Wealth has a very modern and stylish design. On the load-screen, we are introduced to the aforementioned adventurer as he drives daringly into the jungle on a motorcycle. The action itself takes place deep in the jungle, with the game feeling reminiscent of the ELK Studios’ Kane the Explorer series or NetEnt’s iconic Gonzo’s Quest. 

It is all brought to life with some modern, video-game-like graphics, with some nice animation sequences helping to further immerse players in this world. 

Elixir of Wealth uses a standard 5x3 game grid, with 243 ways to win on each spin. Winning combinations are formed when players hit three or more matching symbols on consecutive reels, regardless of their position. 

Everything you need to get the game working is available under the reels, with the $ sign giving you the ability to change your stake. 

There is a small selection of bonus features available in the Elixir of Wealth online slot. If players land one or two Exilir symbols in the game, it will trigger the Mulitboost feature. The symbols become Wild and active with a 2x multiplier under the reels. This is then applied to all wins on that spin. 

The game also has the Lose to Win feature, which can add one or two Exilir symbols to the reels on a losing spin to turn it into a winning one. 

The main bonus is the Exilir of Wealth Free Spins round. This is triggered when you land three or more Elixir symbols. Three, four, or five triggers eight, ten, or 14 spins, respectively. During the round, the total Multi Boost multiplier becomes persistent.

Landing two Wild Multipliers on a reel is also possible, making the Multiplier for that reel 4x. The overall multiplier can reach 1,024x during this round. The Elixir Super Spin is rewarded during the round if an Elixir symbol lands on each reel. The Multi Boost Multiplier is applied to any win during this spin. 

If you want to skip the queue and activate the Free Spins bonus, you can do so for 100x your stake through the buy bonus feature. I would recommend using this option in the Elixir of Wealth demo to give yourself an idea of how the bonus works. 

I took the Elixir of Wealth slot for a spin on my phone and set the game to take 50 auto spins at $1 each. The game is highly volatile and has quite a low RTP, and these were felt. I only landed a handful of wins during this time before triggering the Free Spins bonus at around 35 spins in. 

During the Free Spins round, I managed to win $24.60, which meant that I finished my 50 spins down by around $15 overall. The game’s Free Spins definitely provided some bigger wins with the Multi Boost, but it did not really contribute to many of my wins in the base game. 

The Elixir of Wealth slot doesn’t really live up to the promise of its name, providing players with a maximum win of 5,000x their stake. The RTP sits at a disappointing 94%. It has been rated highly volatile, which I definitely felt while playing. 

The loading screen and design for the Elixir of Wealth slot show plenty of promise, but unfortunately, the game never really feels like it gets out of first gear. The Multi Boost feature does have some impact in the free spins round, but in the base game, it feels quite toothless and fails to deliver any big wins. 

Likewise, the game’s maximum win of 5,000x your stake and the low RTP are not likely to attract too many players. Overall, it’s a great-looking game that has its moments, but it could definitely be improved upon.
