The Las Vegas skyline is pretty legendary. Even if you’ve never been, you can probably picture it now: the skyscraping tower that is the aptly-named Stratosphere, the impressive Bellagio Fountains, the massive High Roller Wheel, and more recently, the Sphere, the gigantic LED dome.
If you’re splurging on a vacation to Las Vegas, the last thing you want is a view of a dingy car park or the back of the T-Mobile Arena. So, if you don’t want to have to Photoshop anything out of the background of your balcony selfies, you’ll want to read our guide to the best views in Vegas.
Although many casinos promise “strip-view” rooms (usually for an extra fee), they’re not always what they’re hyped up to be, so we headed to Tripadvisor to check out what real people were saying about the views from their rooms. We looked for keywords like “view of the Strip” and “stunning views” and ranked each casino on a scale.
These are the ones we assessed:
Topping our list of casinos with the best views in Vegas was Encore at the Wynn, with 27.65% of reviews mentioning one of our keywords. If you’ve ever seen the hotel (or even seen a picture of it), you’ll know that the tower is located towards the north of the central Strip, so looking out a window on one of the higher floors, you should get a panoramic view of all the sights.
Over 1,000 reviews called out each of the terms “best views," “amazing view," and “Strip view.”
“The biggest plus is the view. Could see the Sphere and all the way to Bellagio. Super nice," said one review.
That’s good enough for us!
Next up, the Palazzo at The Venetian received an official Casinos.com Beautiful Views Rating of 21.43%, based on 4437 mentions of our keywords. Another one with a tall tower, over 1,000 of the reviews here mentioned “amazing views.”
“We were fortunate enough to secure a view of the Sphere from our room - what an amazing view!” said one review. Plus, if you stay here, you’ll be within walking distance of Sphere if you’re attending one of the residencies.
Finally, coming in at third place was the Orleans Hotel & Casino, which scored 21.41% on our scale. 590 reviews mentioned a view of the Strip, and 150 even cited “best views," despite the hotel having just over 6,000 reviews in total.
The Orleans isn’t one of the famous casinos that you hear about all the time, so you might be surprised to hear that reviews on Tripadvisor say things like “We stayed on the 15th floor and had a nice view of the mountains and a little bit of the strip” - the best of both!
Right down on the other end of the scale, there was one hotel that certainly didn’t impress when it came to views. The Plaza only got 5.63%, and not one person called the views “panoramic” (which might be expected, considering the location on Fremont Street). “I had a view of a train yard; there was no opening window!”
See, that’s exactly what I try to avoid in Vegas - all those pesky train yards.
Casinos.com utilized Tripadvisor reviews to do an in-depth analysis of phrases associated with views to determine the casino with the best views in Las Vegas. We calculated the percentage of mentions in the total number of Tripadvisor reviews.
Keywords tracked: best views, amazing views, stunning views, panoramic views, breathtaking views, Strip view, view of the Strip, skyline view, city view, scenic experience, best scenery, unforgettable view.
