What would you think of if someone asked you to picture the best possible views from a casino? Our answer is simple: it’s one of those rooms at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, where you directly overlook the Bellagio Fountains from your swanky balcony. But even if the Cosmo isn’t quite in your price range, you can get almost as good of a view from the Flamingo.
But maybe there are even better views out there. After all, we haven’t visited every casino in the country, so who are we to say? Maybe there’s a casino hotel that overlooks a special landmark, or one that’s set in a forest.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit every single casino in the US. Trust us, if we had the funding to do that, we probably wouldn’t be sitting here writing this article right now. Yet here we are.
Anyway, we were really keen to see which casino has the best views, so we did the only logical thing: we took to Tripadvisor.
We looked for mentions of certain keywords like “stunning views,” “panoramic views,” and “best view,” and based on how many times they came up, we were able to rank casinos on our scale. We’ll let you know the top five casinos that have the best views and the bottom five, where you might have the pleasure of overlooking the parking lot if you get one of the good rooms.
And here is our final ranking:

The best views at any casino in the US can officially be found at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. This luxury casino got a rating of 17.04% on our Best Views scale—in fact, more than 1,000 reviews used the exact phrase “best views.”
So, what exactly can you expect? One review said, “The floor-to-ceiling picture windows covering the entire wall of the living room offered a panoramic view of a section of the Strip and the surrounding mountains in the distance,” while another went as far as to say, “The rooms were outstanding and hard to leave as the views were breathtaking.”
The Encore’s sister casino, the Wynn, comes in at second place on our list, with a rating of 13.13%. The most common of our keywords here was “amazing views,” which was called out more than 1,000 times. The casino hotel boasts spacious rooms, luxurious suites, and plenty of fine dining options, so we weren’t surprised to hear that the views were something to behold too.
Said one review, “When we walked into our room, the lights automatically came on and the drapes started opening to reveal an amazing view of the city. The prices were high, but not surprisingly so, considering the quality of the place”.
Many reviews of the Wynn mentioned the incredible views of the Sphere, which is particularly impressive at night.
Third on the list is the Palms Casino Resort, also in Las Vegas. This one got 12.5% on our scale. Located a little bit off the strip, this one is still close enough to overlook the impressive lights of the city, as well as the mountains in the distance. The phrases “amazing views” and “best views” were both called out hundreds of times here, so customers were definitely impressed with what they saw.
One review noted, “We stayed on floor 18 of the ivory tower. The room was very spacious and clean, and the view from our window was amazing. You could see Vegas, part of the Strip, and mountains.” Another reviewer was equally impressed, saying, “Well, it was....AMAZING! The view is by FAR the BEST view of the strip because you get to see the whole strip! The pictures simply do not do it justice! Great vibe outside too!”
Coming in at fourth place, we finally see a casino that’s outside of the gambling capital of the world. Far, far outside. Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport, Mississippi, got a rating of 12.48% on our scale, based on 98 keyword mentions out of 785 reviews. “Best views” was mentioned most often here, being called out 69 times. Island View Casino bills itself as featuring “amazing gulf views,” plus there’s a Balinese-inspired pool. Yes, please!
One review says, “Island View offers one of the best hotels on the Gulf Coast. Rooms are so comfortable, exceptionally clean, and well appointed. The casino is by far our favorite in the area.” Plus, there’s another casino right across the walkway, called the Beach View Casino. Bonus!
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York rounds off our top five. By the name, we’d expect that this casino would have views over the falls, which sounds pretty spectacular. Indeed, 80 referenced “best views,” and another 75 said “amazing views.”
Said one review, “It was the most amazing view looking over to Canada. We were able to see the mist from the Falls and the nightly fireworks from our room.”
We hate to say it, but that sounds like it could even rival the best views at any of the Vegas casinos. The Bellagio Fountains have nothing on Niagara Falls.
But what about the worst views? Those have to be at some seedy, inner-city casino in a place no one’s ever heard of, right? Not exactly.
Silverton Casino Lodge, in none other than Las Vegas, Nevada, comes in at the bottom of the list, with absolutely no points on our scale. That’s right, not one single review here mentioned any of our keywords. Sounds pretty depressing.
The reviews of the actual hotel are quite good, but it’s a good five miles south of the strip, and it’s not a big tower of a hotel like some of the others in Vegas, which explains the lack of views. We can’t even really hold it against the Silverton Casino! So rather than a scathing review like we’d usually quote, we’ll give you this: “We decided to abandon our second free night at the Rio Hotel in search of something better, a great move to say the least!”
The Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore, Maryland, didn’t do too much better, receiving a rating of 0.07%. It’s a two-storey, urban casino, located next to a road, so again, we’re not too surprised to see the lack of words like “stunning views.” But there are lots of games to choose from, plus a Caesars Sportsbook and a hotel with dining options.
One review mentioned, “We had a view of M&T Bank Stadium from the restaurant,” which is something, we suppose. Aside from the view, there were plenty of positive reviews of the casino, with one saying, “The place is very nice for getting out and having some fun. There's tons of fun starting with music, the bar and gambling games”.
Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma, came third from the bottom of our list, with a rating of 0.16%, resulting from just one single mention of our keywords. Yep, just one person used the words “best views.”
We simply had to see exactly what that review said, and oh boy, we were not disappointed. “We heard very little noise from the highway, and we had an excellent view of the parking lot.” Did you hear that? An excellent view of the parking lot? Come on, people, you can do a lot better than that. Even if you are limited to Oklahoma. Phew.
Anyway, moving on to the casino with the fourth worst views. What a mouthful. Turning Stone Resort Casino, in Verona, New York. Based on the name of the town alone, we’re picturing something Italian-style. Inspired by Romeo and Juliet. Something with beautiful views. Nope. absolutely no reviews used the words “stunning views,” and only four called out “amazing views.” The overall rating was 0.46%.
It seems like the views are so bad that people are happy to mention them as the only negative aspect of their stay. As one person put it, “The only negative: the view out the window. The Atrium suite looks out over the rooftops. We were fine to close the curtains and happy with the comfort of the room”.
Let’s wrap up with the casino that came fifth from the bottom of our list. Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, received a rating of 0.67% on our scale. There were eight keyword mentions in total, and only one person referred to this casino as having the “best views.”
The Mohegan Sun Pocono has over 1,500 slots, 50 table games, a hotel, and a convention center, so you might want to visit even if the views aren’t the best. But are they really that bad? Well, one reviewer called it “a Holiday Inn with a resort fee” and mentioned that “The views feature the parking lot.” So, do with that what you will.
