Finding a Las Vegas buffet isn’t as easy as it used to be. Casino operators shuttered many buffets during the Covid-19 pandemic, and many have not returned.
The buffets that have returned may not be operating on the all-day hours they used to. Some may only be open for breakfast and lunch while others are only lunch (or brunch) and dinner.
The prices at some of the best Las Vegas buffets have skyrocketed. These all-you-can-eat extravaganzas may not be the value visitors may remember.
While there are fewer buffets in Las Vegas they still offer a variety of dining options. There might actually be more options than in the past between featured food nights (themes, seafood, etc.) and gourmet items.
Many buffets have been replaced with food halls, which are nothing more than elevated food courts. Similar to buffets of yesteryear, these quick-serve restaurants might be the least expensive dining options in the casinos.
The biggest surprise for many is that there are more Vegas Strip buffets than throughout the rest of town. Meanwhile, there’s only one downtown Las Vegas buffet remaining.
Buffets in Las Vegas today aren’t all the high-value “cheap eats” they used to be. While there are some relatively inexpensive buffets, there are also expensive options that don’t offer much of a bargain if any at all regardless of how good the food might be.
This isn’t an entirely bad thing. Buffet goers no longer have to decide whether to eat the yella, blue, or saltines.
Let’s look at when the different Las Vegas buffets are open and how much they cost. Buffet prices may be more expensive during holidays.
