If you’re looking for the luckiest casino destination in the state of Minnesota, look no further.
We have a whole team of experts dedicated to doing the dirty work, so that you can plan your trip to The Northstar State based on where you might hit it lucky.
Our team took to TripAdvisor and analyzed mentions of words like “winning”, “success”, and “bonus”, to see where you’re likely to get lucky.

In fact, Treasure Island Resort and Casino alone employs between 15,000 and 17,000 people across all of its functions, so just that one casino is a major employer in the state.
Before we tell you exactly which are the best and worst in terms of luck, these are the casinos we looked at:
So, without further ado, let’s get into it.
Right at the top of our Luck List as we like to call it (fine, no one calls it that), was Jackpot Junction Casino in Morton, where reviews mentioned our keywords 48.39% of the time.
This casino boasts 1,650 slot machines, including progressive jackpots, as well as a bingo hall that can hold 375 people.
Seven out of 93 reviews mentioned the word “won”, while six also called out “winning”.
Next in the rankings, we have Fond-du-Luth Casino, with 34.09% luck percentage. An impressive 14 out of the 88 reviews used the word “won”, with one review even saying:
“My wife went up stairs with her girlfriend and both won jackpots on the Quick Hit machines”
- “won” and “jackpot” in one review? We feel like we’re the ones who’ve hit the jackpot.
In third place, Northern Lights Casino got 28.85% luck percentage.
9 out of 104 reviews mentioned the word “win”, but after reading a few of the reviews, we think you might need to temper your expectations when it comes to dining and entertainment, as Walker, Minnesota isn’t exactly Vegas.
But alas, it can’t all be good news. With the luckiest casinos, must come the unluckiest, and we looked at those too.
Shooting Star Casino came bottom of the ratings, with 7.66% of reviews mentioning our keywords.
Although surprisingly, there were a few nice reviews, like one that said “Wife and I spend our anniversary here every year and have a blast, we normally always come home with plenty of cash in our pockets as one of us consistently will hit jackpots every time.”
Not far off and placing at second from the bottom was Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack with a luck percentage of just 7.66%.
And although it placed third from the bottom, we have to call out the fact that Mystic Lake Casino has a whopping 571 TripAdvisor reviews, with 49 of them mentioning the word “win” and 42 “winning”. We were pretty curious about this, so we did a bit of a deep dive into the reviews, and we noticed that a few reviews said something along the lines of “we saw NO ONE winning anything substantial.” Although we might ignore the review that starts with “they saw me winning, now they want me dead”.
Casinos.com utilized Trip Advisor reviews to do an in-depth analysis of phrases associated with luck to determine the luckiest and unluckiest casinos in the state of Minnesota. We calculated the percentage of luck-rated mentions in the total Trip Advisor reviews and extrapolated them as if all Casinos had the same number of reviews for fairness.
