NFL Casino Sponsor List Grows with San Francisco 49ers Deal

The San Francisco 49ers have become the latest NFL team to partner with a casino.

The 49ers announced on Thursday that they have partnered with Cache Creek Casino Resort and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the operators of the casino, in a multi-year deal, Sports Business reported.

In a statement released by the San Francisco 49ers on their official website, Cache Creek General Manager and COO Kari Stout-Smith spoke of the new partnership.

“The San Francisco 49ers are an elite, legacy-minded organization, with a storied record of success at the highest levels,” Stout-Smith said. “Our brands have been aligned in similar ways for many decades. At Cache Creek, we strive to deliver the best possible guest experience to our guests and aim for the pinnacle in terms of success. We also share a deep commitment to the diverse Northern California community.”

49ers & Cache Creek Casino Partnership Details

The new alliance includes Cache Creek Casino, located about 120 miles from Levi’s Stadium in the town of Brooks, being a presenting sponsor of the 49ers pre- and-post-game radio show on San Francisco’s KNBR 680 AM, as well as throughout the 49ers Radio Network.

Cache Creek will also be the official presenting sponsor of the Faithful Appreciation game between the 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams in December. VIP guests of the casino will receive some extra perks and rare experiences, like 49ers alumni appearances.

The partnership will also launch a co-branded media campaign that will include TV spots, digital media, and signage at Levi’s Stadium. Starting this Sunday, for the 49ers’ home opener, spectators will notice Cache Creek Resort signage on the visiting players tunnel.

As early as this Sunday’s contest, fans in attendance will be able to enjoy digital prize giveaways and other extras by the Cache Creek Casino. The team’s Chief Revenue Officer Brent Schoeb spoke on the new alliance and the fan experience in the 49ers’ statement.

“As premiere entertainment providers rooted in northern California, the 49ers are excited to welcome Cache Creek Casino Resort as a corporate partner supporting our efforts to bring the game to 49ers fans everywhere,” Schoeb said. “As Cache Creek continues to expand its entertainment destination, it will afford the 49ers Faithful new opportunities on game days and non-game days for many seasons to come.”

Other NFL Teams with Casino Sponsorships

Numerous teams have formed similar casino alliances under the league’s new sponsorship guidelines. The first NFL team to form a partnership with a casino was the Dallas Cowboys, when they teamed with WinStar World Casino in Oklahoma in September 2018.

Other teams with similar deals include the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders. In addition, the league has its own partnership with Caesars Entertainment that gives the casino brand rights to use NFL trademarks, such as the Super Bowl
