It can’t be scripted, right? The Nevada Gaming Control Board says no, but if you were The Venetian Resort’s marketing department, you really couldn’t ask for much better.
In Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday, we had another million-dollar jackpot winner on the popular Golden Link slot by Aristocrat. This time the winning pull took place at The Palazzo Hotel’s new high-limit gaming lounge. Perfect timing?
The winner, Scott Richter of Denver, Colorado, goes by “The Big Jackpot” and was live streaming on YouTube when his big jackpot hit – for $1,081,106.
Richter began betting at $50/spin. After a few smaller jackpots he had upped his outlay to $250 when the seven-figure jackpot hit.
Here’s more than an hour of his play leading up to the jackpot:
Richter, who uses his YouTube channel to promote free play slots apps, says he will release a recording of his big score on Christmas Eve, at 6 p.m. PT.
Richter, 52, is a jovial bald guy with 456,000 subscribers on YouTube.
He was previously known as the Spam King, and ended up having to pay MySpace $6 million in a settlement over the practice.
Since then he has gone on to serve as a self-appointed exemplar of how to make money on YouTube, a practice built around his love for high-stakes slots.
Legendary dirt track auto racer Christy Barnett hit the same jackpot for $1.1 million on a Golden Link Slot machine at Caesars Palace in October. She told Casinos.com about her experience winning that much money after a video of her celebration went viral.
