You can hear the short, gray-haired lady with arms above her head exclaiming almost in disbelief, “It’s a million dollars! A million dollars! Oh my god, a million dollars!” Christy Barnett won $1,184,624.85 to be more exact, on a $25 slot machine at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas

Her slots victory occurred a couple weeks ago. But it was only in the last couple days that a video of her progressive jackpot win began to circulate.

A race car driver by profession, “the fastest woman on dirt” told fans about her Las Vegas win in a post-race interview at the Vado Speedway in New Mexico, where she had just booked her ninth checkered flag of the 2023 Johnstone Supply Super Truck season.

Legendary Dirt Track Racer

Barnett, formerly Christy Georges, is 63 and has been racing for more than 40 years. Her accolades and certifiable badassnesses include winning more than 450 career races, 35 championships, and two international championships.

In addition to being the Florence Griffith Joyner of dirt track, she’s “the fastest woman in a NASCAR.” In 2007 she set the land speed record of 208 mph in a stock car at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Dragon Link Dreams

Barnett was playing a Dragon Link slot machine. Introduced by Aristocrat Gaming in 2016, the game with historical Asian-themed design mixed with traditional gold coins and jacks, queens and kings, has quickly become one of the most popular slot games in the world.

The latest iteration of the game has caught on in high roller salons across the US due to its special features, including the ability to win a progressive jackpot of at least $1 million for just $25 a spin.
