The breath-taking Bellagio conservatory, gondolas of the Venetian, the literal flamingo garden (at the Flamingo, obviously), to the Cosmo’s opulent Chandelier bar...and let’s not forget the Mirage volcano (RIP). As you make your way up and down the Strip, there are a lot of memorable features in Las Vegas casinos. But some properties simply have to stand out, right? Do the most memorable casinos tend to be the most expensive ones? Or is there something else at play?
I decided to find out, with the help of Tripadvisor. Our Casinos.com team analyzed the reviews and looked for mentions of keywords like “memorable” and “once in a lifetime” to see which stood out most in the minds of the reviewers.

Okay, now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for! We can reveal that the most memorable casino is Encore At Wynn Las Vegas. And for those prices, it would want to be memorable—just one night in the cheapest room can set you back $800 or more. Encore received a rating of 12.23% on our scale, with a whopping 872 people calling it “special” and 600 each saying it was an “amazing experience” and "incredible."
One reviewer said, “I was upgraded to the parlor suite. Amazing room, which included a massage room. I’m 56 and the Wynn Encore constantly remains to be the best hotel experience. Service and food are the best."
Well, I don’t know what a massage room is, but I really want to find out.
Second on the list is Encore’s sister hotel, the Wynn, which got 11.22% on our scale. This five-star hotel promises ultimate luxury; in fact, their tagline is “There’s nothing in the world like Las Vegas—and there’s absolutely nothing in Las Vegas like Wynn."
One promising review said, “Ever since Wynn announced the refurbishment of the rooms, I have been eager to return and see for myself. Having recently finished my stay, I can say the rooms are definitely beautiful and as comfortable as they always have been. Extremely clean too.”
The Palazzo at The Venetian came in at third place. It received a 10.94% rating, with over 900 reviews calling it "special" and over 500 calling it "incredible." According to one review, “The hotel was exceptional; it had everything you needed, so much to do, a perfect location, and the room was amazing. Really impressed and would 100% return”.
Some rooms even have a view of the Sphere, although I was a little concerned by the review that said the view was obstructed by footprints on the window.
Before moving to the bottom of our list, we'd like to give an honorary shoutout to the Mirage which closed it's doors in July, taking it's dolphin habitat and golden mirrored windows away for good. With 1,915 mentions of our "memorable" keywords across 31,560 reviews, Mirage scored a respectable 6.07% on the memorability scale.
Back to business. I don’t think anyone will be surprised to hear that Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Las Vegas was right at the bottom. Circus Circus got 2.31% on our scale, with just four out of 14,000+ reviews saying it was a “once in a lifetime” experience.
But I just... don’t know if I agree. I actually think Circus Circus was very memorable. As someone who has visited recently, I certainly won’t forget the ominous look of the Travelodge next door. Nor the suspicious-looking person in the casino area, downing strangers’ leftover drinks. Nor the exhausted attendants begging me to play arcade games. But that’s my personal opinion, which you didn’t ask for, so I did actually read the reviews. One summed it up nicely: “It’s a circus from check-in to check-out.”.
Second from the bottom, the Excalibur Hotel & Casino received 2.44%, with 667 out of over 27,000 reviews using one of our keywords.
Oh, come on. Have you seen that castle? How could anyone not think that’s memorable? One reviewer said the casino is “nice if you don’t need a room," which is not a shining endorsement at all, so all things considered, you might want to skip this one.
