AC Casino Rolls Out Super Bowl Cocktails, Swiftie Parlays

The Super Bowl isn’t ALL about Taylor Swift. But Ocean Casino in Atlantic City is making sure her fans feel welcome betting on the big game. (Image: Jordan Strauss / AP)

With the nearby Eagles facing off with the Celebrity filled Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, it sets up quite well for the Atlantic City casinos to roll out all the inducements to get the masses into their domains. Ocean Casino Resort on the Boardwalk is ready.

Big Game Drinks, Anyone?

“Whether you’re flying with Philly or riding with Reid & the red, Ocean Casino Resort is the place to experience Super Bowl 59, with the championship game showing across the property on Sunday at The Gallery Bar Book & Games, Villain & Saint and Nola’s Bar & Lounge. Cheer on your favorite team and sip on festive cocktails from the Fly, Eagles Fly and Eagles Emerald  to The Arrowhead and Big Red, there is something for every football fan!”

OK, I’m intrigued. What exactly goes into these “festive” cocktails?

  • Eagles Emerald: Bombay Sapphire Gin, Green Chartreuse, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Mint Leaves, Club Soda & garnished with Mint Sprig & Lime Wedge
  • Fly, Eagles Fly: Raspberry Vodka, Blue Curacao, Orange, Pineapple and Lemon Juice
  • Big Red: Teremana Silver, Pomegranate & Lime Juice, Triple Sec, Simple Syrup
  • The Arrowhead: Bulleit Rye, Ginger Beer, Bitters, Lemon Juice

The Big Red goes for $14, the other 3 will set you back $15.

Want to reserve a seat to sit with your themed drink and watch the game? Too late unfortunately. The Big Game Package at the Gallery and Balcony Bar, where tables go for as much as $400 or individual seats set you back $100, has sold out. Non reserved seating in their four large bars remains theoretically available, though I would guess you need to get there pretty early to save a table.

Ocean Casino did offer a Big Game hotel package as well, but that too has sold out.

But fear not, you can still come to the casino and play and watch and wager.

Place Your Taylor Swift-Themed Bets

Ocean Casino will be offering more than 2,000 special bets for Super Bowl 59.

Among those specialty wagers are several “For the Swifties” parlays. Since they are not exactly self explanatory, here is what you get. Remember these are parlays, so every side needs to hit for you to win.

Wildest Dreams: Saquon Barkley 125+ Rushing Yards, Barkley Anytime Touchdown, DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown, pays +1800.

Analysis: Barkley is projected to have about 115 yards, but is -195 to score a TD. Plus these two bets are correlated, so it lowers the payout. Hopkins is +500 to score a TD.

You Belong With Me: Travis Kelce 80+ Receiving Yards, Kelce Anytime TD, Patrick Mahomes 250+ Passing Yards, Mahomes 2+ TD’s, pays +555.

Analysis: Well we have nothing but correlation here. Kelce is projected to have about yards and is +140 to score a TD. Maholmes is projected for about 260 yards and is -180 to throw 2+ TD passes. Again there’s huge correlation here, hence the very low payout for a 4-side parlay.

Cruel Runners: Barkley Anytime TD, Barkley 110+ Rushing Yards, , Mahomes Anytime TD, Mahomes 35+ Rushing yards, , Kareem Hunt Anytime TD, pays +4000.

Analysis: We get a big time payout on this one. Sounds great, right? Well, 5-legs and Mahomes is just +310 to score a TD, while Hunt is +140.

Red: Andy’s Version: KC Chiefs Money line, Kareem Hunt Anytime TD, Mahome 2+ Passing TD’s, Kelce 6+ Receptions. Xavier Worthy 50+ Receiving Yards, pays +1050.

Analysis: Its a low payout for 5-legs. Worthy is actually -168 to get the 50+ yards and Kelce is near even money (+123) to get over 6 catches. These parlays are all more for fun than anything else, but this is my least favorite by far.

Champagne Problems: KC Chiefs Money Line, Hunt Anytime TD, Mahomes 250+ passing yards, Kelce 50+ receiving yards, Worthy 50+ receiving yards +900.

Analysis: Same as the last one, it's not enough money for all the legs, even with the correlations.

Well it all sounds like a fun time, albeit a kind of pricey one. Best of luck to anyone that makes it out to Oceans for the big game.
