The latest US presidential race has featured plenty of controversy so far.
From Donald Trump nearly being assassinated to current US President Joe Biden withdrawing from a re-election campaign, it has made numerous headlines already and will no doubt provide many more in the weeks to come before the November 5th election.
That day is traditionally known for its fireworks, and there is little doubt the presidential race alone will provide lots this year.
While the race for the White House hardly needs spicing up, one thing that could make the quest to be the next US president even more interesting would be a celebrity running for office.
Many stars have hinted about it, but most haven't made it very far down the line. But with people's obsession with celebrities appearing to be on the rise, it's surely just a matter of time.
Just moments after Biden - who had become known as "Sleepy Joe" after appearing to fall asleep during vital meetings and interviews, stood down as the Democrat leader, there were some calls for none other than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to take on Trump.
Biden has thrown his support behind Vice President and fellow Democrat Kamala Harris in the upcoming election, but some on social media have even suggested The Rock could work under Harris to gain experience ahead of a potential presidential run in the future.
In November, the WWE wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor admitted he was previously asked to run for president.
Speaking on the podcast What Now? Johnson said: "At the end of the year in 2022, I got a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run and if I could run."
Johnson admitted it was "surreal" because he hasn't ever intended to wind up in politics.
Despite this, in 2016, he told GQ magazine that the "thought of being president" was "alluring," and in 2017, he told Variety that a 2024 presidential campaign was a "realistic consideration."
While it is yet to come to fruition, he is just 11/8 (+197.5) favourite to be the next celebrity to run for president, and some are confident it will happen.
One social media user wrote on X: "The way people just blindly vote red or blue no matter who, The Rock will be President in the next decade."
Logan Paul has previously vowed to run for president in 2032, and he wants to get his brother, Jake Paul, involved too.
The YouTuber made the announcement in 2022, when he insisted Jake would become his Secretary of Defence should he be successful.
Speaking at The Future of Everything Festival, he said: "I, Logan Paul, will be running for president in 2032."
And in the same year, he told The MMA Hour: "I’m 26 and I’ll be eligible to run for president when I’m 35. That gives me nine more years to become the best version of myself possible and to learn as much as I can about people, culture, society, where we fall short and where we are strong.
"I just think I’ll be a good leader one day and I think the presidential spot needs a fresh take. I think the country could use a person who is a little bit more nuanced, more innovative, and authentic because I think a lot of politicians fall short."
The Paul brothers clearly have an interest in politics in some form - they've vowed to outbid each other for the baseball cap Trump was wearing during the attempt on his life.
Jake has said he would be willing to pay up to $12 million for the hat.
While Logan may be outbid for the cap, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him run for president in 2032, and he is just 2/1 (+200) to become the next celebrity to attempt to make it to the White House.
One star who has already had a go at becoming US president is rapper Kanye West.
The Stronger hitmaker ran for office in 2020 but conceded his run after winning just 50,000 votes and failing to make the ballot in several states.

West had insisted he was going to run for office in 2024, too, but that was squashed in October.
His personal attorney, Bruce Marks, confirmed at the time that the star wouldn't be seeking the presidency this year, telling Rolling Stone: "He's not a candidate for office in 2024."
Despite this, West could be an appealing proposition at 5/2 (+250) to be the next celebrity to run for office, while Mr Beast is 3/1 (+300) fourth favourite.
The YouTuber - whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson - wrote on X earlier in July: "If we lower the age to run for president, I’ll jump in the race."

To be the President of the USA, you must be a natural-born US citizen and at least 35 years old.
Beast turned 26 in May, so he will have to wait another nine years before giving it a go.
It wouldn't be completely out of the question to see an all-YouTube battle between Logan Paul and Mr. Beast for the 2032 presidency.
Other stars who might be up for running include legendary radio host Howard Stern.
In 2022, Stern insisted he would run for president if Trump became the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, which has now happened.
He said on his SiriusXM radio show: "The problem with most presidents is they have too big of an agenda. The only agenda I would have is to make the country fair again."
What's more, 5/1 (+500) shot Stern has vowed to make Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper his Vice President because he would "bring in the female vote.".
DJ and music producer Diplo (+600) also vowed to run for president this year, writing on social media in 2022: "Dear America, you've been letting me down a lot lately but I know you can always turn this s*** around. Also, I’m running for president. Diplo 2024. (sic)"
Other stars who seem unlikely to run for office but could receive plenty of fan backing include Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey (+700) and pop megastar Taylor Swift (+2500).
Swift could at least write a couple of post-presidential run tracks about her experience to get something out of it. Does anyone want a song about how to negotiate with Russia and North Korea?
Didn't think so.
