The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is now part of the World Of Hyatt rewards program. The 7,000 all-suite hotel is the 32nd brand involved with the worldwide hotel company,
Members of the hotel rewards program can now earn and redeem points at The Venetian on qualifying stays when booked through Hyatt. The points can be used at the Las Vegas casino and the 1,350 Hyatt hotels around the world.
The move comes after The Venetian ended its relationship with IHG (Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, etc.) on Jan. 1. This partnership allows members of the Hyatt rewards program access to a Vegas Strip property for the first time since MGM Resorts ended its long-term deal with the company. Last year MGM started a new partnership with Marriott Bonvoy.
Hyatt is also the hotel partner for Rio Las Vegas, just west of the Vegas Strip. While there are other Hyatt hotels properties throughout Las Vegas, only the Rio and Venetian are attached to a casino.
World of Hyatt members can use points to book suites at The Venetian and The Palazzo only when using the Hyatt website or app. Venetian Rewards is an entirely separate program for the casino.
Guests can earn 5 Base Points per eligible dollar spent at The Venetian and Palazzo on hotel rooms, restaurants, bars, and pretty much everything that isn’t gambling. All spending must be charged to the room.
On the bad side, World Of Hyatt members still must pay the $50 resort fee. A positive spin on this would be that each dollar paid for the resort fee will accrue points.
Members will receive 4 Bonus Points for each dollar spent using the World of Hyatt credit card. Again, the charges must go to the room.
Money spent at The Venetian will go toward earning tier status and Milestone Rewards with World Of Hyatt.
Elite Members in the program will have access to perks such as Invited Guest check-in, late checkout, early check-in, suite upgrades, and more when available. Members will may also receive a 15% discount on Gondola Rides, at Canyon Ranch Spa, and participating retail outlets.
Unrelated to this program, anytime someone books a casino promotion they should look for the invited guest line when checking into a casino. I’ve done this for years and the lines are usually shorter and quicker.
Hyatt will announce more benefits for meetings and event planners at The Venetian in the future. The Venetian is currently in the middle of an upgrade of its convention facilities, which is part of a billion-dollar multi-year property renovation that started in 2022 and includes everything from hotel rooms to new restaurants.
Unlike some Las Vegas casino partnerships with hotel brands, there is no tier match available between the casino and the hotel. In fact, Venetian Rewards with other casinos.
Promotional Free Night Awards from World Of Hyatt are not redeemable at The Venetian Resort. Guests can only obtain free nights at The Venetian by redeeming World of Hyatt points.
Members cannot use World Of Hyatt points for suite upgrades. The only suite upgrades will come from The Venetian if available.
Additionally, according to the FAQ, “elite World of Hyatt members will not receive the same on-property benefits at The Venetian Resort as they do at Hyatt-branded hotels.”
