When a slot game like Fortune Tiger, which is so cute and fun, comes along, it’s impossible to make a negative review about it. Just kidding. This chubby cat is the epitome of all that is wrong with slot games today. It’s all a bit too consumer-friendly, and should it be a surprise at all that the developer is called PG Soft (PG stands for Pocket Games)?
Well, here we all are, so the review must continue. I will be dissecting this game, revealing its in-play features and gaming bonuses, and looking at the software performance. I will be leaving you with enough information to help you make up your mind as to whether or not you would want to play the Fortune Tiger slot for real money.
Embedded into this review is the official Fortune Tiger demo, so you can enjoy a hands-on experience of the game. This demo comes at no cost, no registration, and no downloads. You can play Fortune Tiger on any mobile device as many times as you like.
So, Fortune Tiger is a mobile-friendly slot game, but I wouldn't put it on my top mobile slots list. It comes with its glaringly obvious Asian theme and does so with a talking, over-fed cartoon tiger as its main character who also sports clothing and sunglasses. The game plays out on a retro-style 3 x 3 slot grid. With 3-rows and 3-reels, this means that you only get 5 paylines in this game. The patterns run horizontally from the top row, middle row, and bottom row, and then diagonally from top left to bottom right, and then from bottom left to top right.
The accompanying music is of the most irritating kind. It is an overly poppy tune made by high-pitched flutes and electro-mandolin strings. It's all played by the keyboard, of course, with its effects set to "annoying" mode. My advice is to mute the game from the control panel, where you will also find the game’s very minimal paytable.

Playing the Fortune Tiger slot couldn’t be simpler because the game is as basic as a slot can be. First, take note that the slot defaults to a cost of $3 per spin. If this is too much or too little, then you need to adjust before you play. Select the Bet value, and it will open the different values you can wager per play. Bets run from as low as $0.15 and climb to a max bet of $45. Alternatively, you can adjust the price setting by pressing the plus or negative buttons on either side of the Spin button. Once you have set the bet to the correct value, you can press the Spin button to start the game.
In this game, wins are made by matching 3 symbols on any one or more of the five payline patterns. The highest-prized symbol is that of the Wild, which returns your wager at 250x the value. Further symbols and their values can be found on the game’s paytable.
Despite its size, the Fortune Tiger slot by Pocket Games Soft does have a few special in-game features. First, the Fortune Tiger Feature randomly triggers on any spin played. What it does is randomly pick a symbol on the reels, and this symbol will remain stuck in place for a bonus spin. Should the same symbol appear again, this will stick, and you will be awarded another respin. This process continues until you have filled all spaces or fail to land a matching symbol.
The other feature is the x10 multiplier bonus. Should you produce a win with all symbols featured in the slot, then you will win a return that is 10 times the value.
Anyone saying that this is a great game is being paid to lie. When you hold up Fortune Tiger to bigger and better slots with real money, there is a glaring difference. I think it’s about time we really scrutinize games because Fortune Tiger doesn’t offer much at all when compared to the thousands of other slot games online.
I played Fortune Tiger as a demo game and kept the game in default mode at $3 per spin. I set the auto spins to 50 and let the game do its thing. In the end, I broke even and didn’t manage to trigger any of the special features.
It was a very muted experience. It’s just not a game that does much, which is why they give us a talking tiger and animated symbols. It’s all show with no substance.
The slot comes with the potential to win 2,500 times the amount of your bet. This means that if you win on the max bet of $45, you will cash out $112,500. This is okay, but there are hundreds of other slot games online that have a lower max bet value and payout larger amounts.
The Return to Play is 96.81%, which is average for modern slots. It’s a score that is not to be confused with your chances of winning. The RTP is merely a calculation of what can be paid back to you, depending on the amount spent and how many spins you play.
Medium volatility is a positive when it comes to software programming. Medium is my favorite volatility setting because I feel that I get more of a balance in wins and losses.
Do I recommend this game? Well, it’s not for me. If you love the over-used Asian-themed games, then fill your boots. If you like retro slots, then the game is okay, but I would advise putting your money into getter games that come with greater returns in both cash and entertainment.
Here are some alternative Asian-themed casino games that come programmed with medium volatility settings.

Read Full BioFortune Tiger was developed by PG Soft (Pocket Games Soft). This is not their best game, nor one that I would recommend. Some of their more-known casino slot games include Candy Burst, Bikini Paradise, and Fortune Mouse. Their current hottest game is Wild Bandito.
Yes. You can play Fortune Tiger for free via the embedded demo that appears in this review. You can play the free game as many times as you like, and you can enjoy it from any mobile device. You don’t need to register to play or to make any downloads.
The number of casinos hosting PG Soft slot games is minimal. My advice is that you look through the casino reviews offered by Casinos.com and look at which platforms are best at supplying the games you are after, support your banking preference, and reward you with the best bonuses where possible.
Fortune Tiger comes with a bonus that produces respins, but I wouldn’t classify this as having a free spins bonus round. The bonus called the Fortune Tiger Feature freezes symbols, and if a matching one lands, then a respin is rewarded.
Fortune Tiger comes with an RTP rating of 96.81%. What this score tells us is that there is a theoretical possibility that if you play Fortune Tiger long enough and deposit x amount of money, you could win back 96.81% of that deposited cash.
Fortune Tiger was released by PG Soft in March of 2022. This is indeed an old game now, and their new titles include the likes of Gemstones Gold, Fortune Dragon, Dragon Hatch 2, and Werewolf’s Hunt. The latter looks like the kick-ass game we all want.
